LUIGI MASSIMO BRUNO

 

 

He born in the province of Lecce, Salento in 1948; in 1960 he moved to Rome where he completed his art school graduation, specifically the Academy of Fine Art and schools of graphic and illustration.

During the following years actively works as illustrator and cartoonist as well as graphic designer.

 

In 1969 he started teaching painting at the San Giacomo School of decorative Arts, a long lasting activity ended in the 2014.

 

In the meantime he carried out his own painting activity with personal and collective artistic exhibitions in Italy and abroad.

 

Some of his paintings on permanent exposure in selected Italian Museums: Spilimbergo, Stupinigi (Turin etc.)

 

From 1988 he began his artistic anassociation with the "Presenteismo" movement, busily collaboration relezed it through public events, exhibitions, shows, performances and still on going.

 

At the same time he wrote articles for "Ecotipo","Conoscere", and for the Horizons" art magazine as editor from 1994 to 2014.

 

He still works actively as a contemporary art critic for different on line magazine: "Exart","Romacultura","Moto della mente".

 

In recent years, as an art critic he has organized and hosted several exhibitions and artistic events within the Roman exhibition area "American Artists in Rome”, " 6 Female Painters In Abstract Art”, “200 Walking Trees”, "Genesis" and more recently the picture and poetry public event "You AreThe Season, you always summer” comprising paintings by his former students inspired by some his unpublished poems.

 

As a writer and poet he published different collections: "A Season Changing”" (ed.Ibiskos 1998),"Others Among Us”(ed.Aletti 1999),"The Unexplored Journey” (ed.Aletti 2003); he has also published short stories for on line magazines ("Forum" ecc.).

 

From 2011 he embraces ideologically and artistically embracing the humanitarian purposes of "Scienza per Amore" aimed at creating innovative tools and opportunities to solve problems related to hunger and poverty in the world.
